Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

MLK Jr. is an example of a famous ENFJ. In his time, he was leader of the Civil Rights Movement, which shows how ENFJs tend to find themselves in leadership roles.

University of Chicago

The picture above was taken at the University of Chicago's library. One of my chosen life paths is to apply to University of Chicago.

San Jose State University Dorms

As you can see above, the dorms at SJSU don't look to shabby. The palm trees also give the dorms a very welcoming tone.

Toy Story

Believe it or not, the movie Toy Story was my inspiration for my I Believe essay. I guess that at the time I was thinking of the way Woody says "Reach for the Sky!"

Responsibility

I've had to take responsibility for my grades during middle school. This led me to build up a very responsible and dependable character.

The San Bernardino County Museum

This is the museum where I volunteer often during most weekends in the morning. My supervisors here have put their faith in me for quite a few times.

Paying College Tuition

I find it ironic that the same institutions that are sucking your pockets dry beg you to give them even more money.

Spending a Million Dollars

After doing this entry, I didn't realize that I could afford 10 round trips around the world in a private jet.

What do Paleontologists do?

Its a public misunderstanding that all Paleontologists do is study dinosaurs, but they also study the origins of life, plants, and ancient microbial life.

The University of Colorado Boulder

For Life Stage 2, I am using the tuition rate of the University of Colorado Boulder due to its renowned excellence in the Geological Sciences.

Tax Deductions

After toggling around with various variables in the calculation of tax, I found that having children lowers the amount of taxes you will owe.

My Annual Income Compared to Average Bachelors Degree

Compared to the average bachelor's degree income, my annual income is relatively small which makes sense Paleontologists tend to have lower wages than other professionals.

Inflation

When I added the average inflation rate that I calculated into my future value of annuity equation, I knew that already if I accounted for more expenses that the inflation would soon outpace the rate by which my own income was increasing.

Budgeting Tips

I wish that I had better budgeting skills for entry 8, because I really could have used it to make my income and financial aid sufficient enough to cover my expenses.

Eleanor and Franklin D. Rooselvelt

The Roosevelts are a great example of an ENFJ (Eleanor) and ENTP (FDR) couple that had a happy relationship.

Wedgewood Glen Ivy

This is the banquet room I used to calculate the expenses for the wedding reception and ceremony.

Hotel Room

The hotel that I used for this simulation is called the Hotel Posada 06 Tulum, which offered couples a room with a queen sized bed, tv with working cable, and free wi-fi.

The Land Before Time Quote

Now that I am reading about how ENFJs are like as parents, I think that a very good descriptor of our philosophy with parenting would be the final line Littlefoot's mother says before she dies in the first The Land Before Time movie.

Big Fish

One lesson that Big Fish teaches is that one shouldn't shy away from following a hard path in life, because it will lead to personal growth and this lesson is shown in Edward Bloom's story of when he walked down an old abandoned road.

Locusts

My great grandpa told me that when the locusts came to his family's farm that the only thing they wouldn't eat would be the oranges that they used to have. Also, interestingly enough his older brothers were sometimes able to find wild chipilin, a Salvadorean herb, plants even after some locust swarms came by.

Credit Card Acceptance

One of the things that I really like about the Wells Fargo and Discover credit cards are that they are usually accepted in any store that has a machine like the one above. This really makes the credit card a great tool for when you are overseas just because of the fact that you don't have to carry all that cash on you and have to risk it getting stolen.

My Home

One advantage of having a house in Colorado for most of my career would be that it would allow me to live close to many possible places where I could be working as a Paleontologist.

Paying Off Your Credit Card

After going through the credit and debt part of Life Stage 3, I found that paying off your credit card is much like grabbing something out of a bear trap, because if you pay it fast enough you'll get away from having to pay APR.

President Lincoln is also another iconic ENFJ. The quote below also shows the altruistic side of ENFJs

UC Riverside

One of the life paths that I researched was the University of California-Riverside. The building in the image contains lecture halls.

Geology Major

In the picture above, two resident geologists from UC Riverside are inspecting rock layers exposed by the low tide of the ocean.

Verbal Bullying

Most of the bullying I had to deal with growing up was verbal, luckily not much physical bullying. However, it still hurt immensely. This kid's face says it all.

Intelligence

I agree with the picture above. I can't name how many times I've come off as crazy to some people. I've even managed to creep out my parents.

AVID

As a middle school student, I learned quickly how to best take notes for myself from my AVID elective. Due to this elective's persistence in helping develop skills for success, I'm now able to handle my own learning.

Applying for Scholarships

One of the main sources of aid that I will have to depend on to pay off college are scholarship applications. Unfortunately, not many of them don't require an essay.

Animal Adoption

Most of the hypothetical animals that I adopted in this entry are mostly orphaned and are in dire need of help. The money I hypothetically spent would go towards their care.

Consultants

Like in Jurassic Park, Paleontologists can find work by being a consultant for a company, or for any institution that regulates land usage.

Paleontology Funding

Funding for Paleontologists is so scarce and the few foundations that reliably fund Paleontologists often give small rewards, and so Paleontologists must resort to finding as many grants as possible.

Tax Calculations

When I tried experimenting with the charitable amount of money given section in taxact.com, my computer wasn't picking up any changes in the tax due and so I used turbotax to do the tax calculations for charitable amount.

Petrology

Technically, if I ever found that my income as a paleontologist wasn't enough to support me over 40 years, then one possible thing I could do is find work under an oil company, where I can study micro-fossils within the extracted oil, because oil companies tend to give much higher wages.

Future Value of an Annuity

When I was calculating the future value of annuity for my expenses I didn't need to use an excel spreadsheet because the equation itself accounts for every year that you would have needed to calculate future value for.

Income vs. Expenses Analysis

Keeping in mind that my expense prices will probably outpace my income due to inflation, it is entirely possible that I am going to have to work even past retirement age.

ENFJ Eagerness to Please

One weakness that ENFJs have in relationships is that sometimes we are too eager to please our partners, which can lead to the failure of the relationship.

Wedding Expenses

My wedding expenses matches that shown in this 2014 chart, which came to my surprise since I thought that the expenses I calculated were low compared to other possible estimations.

Playa Paraiso

One of the closest places to the hotel that I found a price for was called Playa Paraiso, which is a really beautiful and picturesque beach.

Martin Luther King III

Due to the fact that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was the father of Martin Luther King III, MLK III continues to promote the same ideals as his father before him which is a good example of how ENFJ parents pass on their ideals to their own children.

Imagination

Scenes like the one presented in this picture were the type of places I used to create in my imagination during middle school. I especially liked to think of what if situations pertaining to these mental pictures.

Santa Elena, El Salvador

One interesting story my great grandpa told me about his birth place Santa Elena was about a man who really liked coconuts in his town. One day this man climbed a tree but then jumped off of the tree and onto a one of its fronds because he was scared by a huge constrictor like snake that had a head as large as the coconuts. When he finally got down, the town chopped the tree down and killed the snake who was surprisingly already dead.

Home Equity

One great thing about being a responsible user of credit is that you develop an excellent credit score which gives you a great reputation when you go off to find a home, because the people selling the house to you will have more trust in your ability to off the home in the long run, which may give you access to a lower rate. Your home can then become virtual piggy bank after you modify it several times for several years, which is great because you can then use your home to help sustain yourself financially.

Denver Apartment

One reason why I really liked this specific apartment was that I could easily walk or find some sort of public transportation to take me to Denver's city center.

Renting vs Buying in California

One thing that the renting vs buying entry for the credit and debt part of Life Stage 3 taught me was that it makes sense to rent an apartment when you are young since you don't have too much income, but that when you are older its definitely better to buy a home, but if you look at the statistics about people living in LA it shows that apartments are quite appealing to those who pay attention to the upfront costs.
